About the role
A large IT services and IT consulting company in Red Oak is hiring for this role. You will support the Plant Controller by owning the recurring reporting that shows how the plant is performing and what is driving its costs. The work puts you between Finance and Operations, explaining the numbers to both.
What you'll do
- Produce recurring reports on work in process and inventory transactions.
- Report on material usage variances and purchase price variances.
- Prepare the plant profit and loss.
- Analyze period-over-period performance and explain the cost drivers behind changes.
- Identify anomalies and communicate your findings to Finance and Operations.
What you bring
- Experience producing recurring financial reports for a plant or operating site.
- A working understanding of inventory, work in process and cost variance reporting.
- The ability to analyze results period over period and explain what moved.
- Clear communication with both finance and operations colleagues.
