About the role
A small wellness and fitness services company in North York is hiring for this role. You will own the monthly and annual close and the financial reporting that comes out of it. The role also keeps day-to-day accounting running, including inventory, marketplace transactions and AP/AR, while improving how the books are managed.
What you'll do
- Own the monthly and annual close processes.
- Prepare financial statements and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee reconciliations, inventory accounting, marketplace transactions and AP/AR operations.
- Coordinate tax filings and external financial reviews.
- Support budgeting and analysis, and improve accounting processes and controls.
What you bring
- Senior-level accounting experience, including full-cycle close ownership.
- Hands-on skill preparing financial statements and cash flow forecasts.
- Working knowledge of reconciliations, inventory accounting and AP/AR.
- Familiarity with tax filing coordination and external reviews.
- An eye for tightening processes and controls.
