About the role
A large mechanical or industrial engineering company in Buffalo is hiring for this role. You will own core general ledger work and support the month-end and year-end close. You will also keep inventory and cost accounting records accurate and work closely with operations and supply chain on financial performance.
What you'll do
- Prepare journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
- Produce financial reports and support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Maintain inventory and cost accounting records.
- Analyze variances and explain what is driving them.
- Support audits and planning, and partner with operations and supply chain on process improvements.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience with journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations.
- Working knowledge of inventory and cost accounting.
- The ability to analyze variances and report on them clearly.
- Experience supporting audits and close cycles.
- Comfort working with operations and supply chain colleagues.
